Fork in the Road Ranch (EIN# 81-3267707) is the official 501 c 3 non profit organization for Monteverde Ranch Equestrian Center serving as an equine rescue that provides medical therapy programs for children with cancer and their families.
We say goodbye to Walter the Draft Mule
Saved from an Arkansas kill pen, Walter joined the Fork in the Road Ranch on June 2, 2021 along with fellow kill pen buddies, Ginger - the Belgian Draft Horse and Dolly the BLM Donkey.
On Saturday, March 12, 2022, Walter coliced and we were able to transport him to Westcoast Equine Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Sullivan personally took care of him at 1am. Regrettably, the blockage was too great to overcome and he was released from pain at 8:45am on Sunday, March 13, 2022.
Walter was loved and will be greatly missed by Ginger, Dolly and all his ranch friends.
